S. Jaswant Singh Kalsi was born to Smt. Punjab Kaur Bansal on 24th
August 1941 at Lyalpur, now in
Pakistan.
His father S. Bachan Singh Kalsi, shifted to
Ludhiana
in 1947
during partition. He started repair workshop at Shapur Road near Subhani Building. Ludhiana.
S. Jaswant
Singh did his matriculation in 1958 from Khalsa Higher Secondary
School, Ludhiana. Then he trained himself in technical machinery
work and
got training from various reputed firm of Ludhiana. He developed
gear box for water pump in
Ludhiana
and started its commercial production in 1960.
In 1960 S. Jaswant
Singh Kalsi and his father established M/s B.S. Industries in 90 Sq. yard.
He was the first to manufacture Gearbox for water pump in Ludhiana
and popularised BSK
brand with his hard work. Then in year 1975 he established M/s J. S.
Kalsi Industries (Regd) with Rs 6000/- and started
manufacturing gear boxes (for water pumps) and Air compressor. Now
he has established his business in 700 Sq. Yards and is
manufacturing quality air compressor of all sizes with a brand
name of "Dimple".
In 1984 he started manufacturing
electric motors also.
His another firm M/S Kalsi Enterprises is manufacturing
Gen-Sets of the brand name
"King-O-King".
his both the brands are registered as well as quality marked
certified by department of Industries of Punjab Govt.
The company is
known for quality and reliability. S.
Jaswant Singh Kalsi
married to Smt Manjit Kaur Reehal on 11 May 1960. The couple
is blessed with three sons and a daughter.
