S. Jugarj Singh got his primary
education from his village school Dahnaula, But he
discontinued his study and started to help his father in work
of meenakari ( A very rare and honoured Art). Now he realised
that study is a seddle of rising in life, and now he is
preparing to pass his matriculation at the age of 52
yrs.
In 1978 he went
to Iraq to improve the financial position of the
family. After spending 2 yrs in Iraq he came back to India and
settled in his village, Dhanula . Then he again went to
Kuwait, but his inner artist was not satisfed with this work.
After spending some time he came back to India and do the work
of decoration at Gurudwara Saheed Baba Baksha Singh, near
Rampura Phool. He spend 12 years to decorate the Gurudwara
Singh Sabha Barnala, His is guided by S. Harjit Singh Manoor
(Ramgarhia) to polish his skill.
In 1995 he settled
at Dhanula. He has created several images from waste ceramic
tiles, including that of Micky Mouse, a pregnant women, a man
on the moon, Guru Nanak Dev Jee and many more to come from his
art work. his most noteworthy creation can be seen at the
entrance of Saheed Bhagat Singh Memorial Sports club. a Micky
mouse, a football , a volleyball and basketball.
He is perfect in
the art of using waste ceramic and mosaic tiles to make
memorable items. jugraj inherted arstictic touch from his
forefathers, who were masons. at the tender age of 15, he had
started persuing the same trade, leaving studies midway.
jugraj hhad also spend 6 years in kuwait and iraq, mastering
the art of beautifying ceilings and flouring.
