S.
Jagjit Singh Jhita born to Smt Pritam Kaur Jhita (Kalsi) on
4th February 1944
at Mombassa, Kenya. His father late S. Amar Singh Jhita was running a
workshop at Mombassa. He had complete faith in WAHEGURU, starting
his daily routine after paying obeisance at Gurudwra. He also
did kirtan with his wife Smt. Pritam Kaur at Gurudwara, Mombassa, Kenya. |

S. Jagjit Singh completed his senior
Cambridge
at Mombassa in 1961 then got clerical job at East
African Cargo handling service in Mombassa, Kenya. He worked there for 8 yrs with
honesty and sincerity. He was a regular participant in
car ralliesand learnt how to repair and maintain the
cars.
With this he became more confident during participation in Rallies.

On 13 October 1968 he tied the nuptial nod with Smt. Jaswant Kaur Jhita (Surdhar).
While assessing uncertainty in Kenya the couple migrated
to England
in 1969.Both started jobs for livelihood.
While working, Jagjit completed degree in Mechanical
Engineering to master his knowledge of car repair. He then
established “Bridge Auto Spare” with
his friend in 1980. They ran the business
successfully and dissolved the partnership in 1990
due to some health related issues. |

After recovering from the illness he established
his own company “Auto
Car Service” in 1991 and worked hard with honesty up to
2000. where he forced to closeafter some further healkth
problems. His wife Jaswant Kaur retired from her job
shortly after. She had been working for a reputed tea
company for 28 years. The couple then devoted their services to the
Ramgarhia Sabha, Southall to seek solace and peace in Gurbani.

S. Jagjit Singh Jhita
came into the fold of Ramgarhias in 1971. He joined Ramgarhia Sabha, Southall
as its member. He was taken
as executive member in 1999. In between he also
served the sabha as its treasurer as well as other
prominent post. He
executed
his duty with honesty and sincerity. |
|
His wife Smt.
Jaswant Kaur also helped him to rise in life. She
is an active member of Istri Sabha of Ramgarhia
Sabha, Southall.
The couple is blessed with 2 sons,2 daughters and 5 grand children |
