Rajpreet Kaur Warna (Ramgarhia)

"During My visit to Kolkata I was presenting my site www.ramgarhiakom.com to the members of the Ramgarhia Sewak Sabha, Kolkata. After completion a gentleman told me about the mother of a son who became a certified instructor of scuba diving. He note my contact number. Next day I received a call from Capt Sukhdev Singh Warna and he introduce himself as father of Rajpreet Kaur Warna (Ramgarhia) the First Ramgarhia Sikh girl in scuba diving. We fix a meeting and reached home with S. Balwant Singh Sall and S. Gurdev Singh Deosi. "

Rajpreet Kaur born on 10th January 1979 to Smt Ravneet Kaur Jabble at Kolkatta. Her father Capt. Sukhdev Singh Warna served the Indian army. He earned a respectful status among Ramgarhia brethren in Kolkata. The family belongs to Gurdaspur District  of Punjab and shifted to Kolkata in 1970.
Rajpreet did matriculation from the National High School for girls, Kolkata  in 1991. Graduation with Honours from the St. Xavier's College Kolkata. She always concentrated on her studies and never took part in any other extra curricular activities during her academic period.
                She married in 2000.
After marriage, she continued her studies as well as taking care of  family and other household works. Her passion for studies does not stopped her. She did Masters in Business Management in 2004. During the studies, she delivered a cute handsome baby boy in 2002 named Yuvraj Singh .

She never stepped into a pool. She learned swimming at age of 33 years. In October 2011, she learned to swim, in December 2011 she finished  her confined water, Open Water , Advance Open water and Rescue Diver in  March ’12 .

The most difficult part was when in October 2012 She completed the Dive Master from Andaman. It is a world dominated by men, and she wasn’t even physically strong ! But her parents motivate her, if boys can do, so can you. She builds the stamina to swim against the current. Being the only woman diver in training, strengthened her will to promote the sport amongst women in India.
In November 2012, She completed the Scuba Instructor course from Thailand. To clear the course, one needs to pass a five-part theory exam scoring 75 per cent in each part, perform a facedown, non-stop swim for 800 meters using a mask, snorkel and show proof of at least 100 logged open water Scuba dives before attending the Professional Association of Diving Instructors ( PADI) Instructor examination (IE).

Proud to be the only Sikh woman Scuba Instructor in India , certified by the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) the world’s largest diver-training organisation. She is also the  first Sikh to be a Specialty Instructor and qualify for the  Master Scuba Diving Trainer (MSDT) in our Sikh Community in India as well as in the World. Rajpreet Share that once you are certified as an instructor, you can teach Scuba diving in any part of the world.

Now she started his own company "Bubble and Fun". She  wants to make every child fearless in the water. She introduces a diving course in some Kolkata schools . The mission is that the kids who are good in Swimming can be given a certificate  and taken to the Andamans to clear the basic levels of the diving test. She is a single mother to a 14-year-old son. she  wants to be an inspiration for him.

As a token of respect to our Sikh Community she have unfurled "Khalsa Flag" 60 feet underwater in Netrani Island, off coast of Karnataka, first person to do so in our Sikh history.
